Why Compromise?

Car journeys eat into our lives, we continue our meetings into the car, we initiate business deals from our cars - occasionally we get to switch off and relax in the car. Whats more, car journeys eat into our precious down time where we can just sit, unwind and absorb the atmosphere generated by our favourite music.

For too long vehicle audio has been about raw power and brutal sound systems. The Kinshaw vehicle audio system turns all that on its head by applying the same philosophy to vehicle audio as to the highly respected domestic systems.

Kinshaw Vehicle Audio aims are consistant with domestic audio, and are quite simple:

Re-create music in a natural and life-like context
Base everything on science but never forget that it is an artistic goal
Build to last (forever is preferable but testing for it is unending)

The Power Supply

Audio delivery is reliant on power delivery. In any vehicle, the power supply fluctuates with speed, temperature and other demands. With this in mind, it is clearly impossible to deliver the quality found in domestic systems without taking this issue head on.

Unlike the usual car audio system approach of using power rails, we at Kinshaw use a fully regulated setup; the most unique feature being the use of a transformer to
generate the supply. The nature of the circuit that constitutes the supply is also unique in the vehicle audio market.

The power supply is housed in a separate enclosure, eliminating any noise and un-wanted bye products of single enclosure design. The power supply utilses a purpose designed high performance, high speed power transformer with voltage regulation with dynamic feed back from the amplifier.

The Amplifier

The use of quality parts is not a recipe for
success on its own. The precise layout,
orientation and even separation of parts
are crucial. The Kinshaw Vehicle Audio systems are reference designs in these areas - the result, devices that outperform some rather expensive domestic audio let alone in-car products.
